Overview of product performance and technical characteristics

Catalyst DQC Series is a set of efficient spherical propylene polymerization catalysts developed by Sinopec Beijing Research Institute of Chemical Industry. Thanks to an original carrier preparation technology, the catalyst DQC Series has better combined properties comparing with other like catalysts and is suitable for the units using continuous process, such as Spheripol-I, Spheripol-II and ST processes, for producing homopolymer and anti-impact and random copolymer PP. With its small particle size, the catalyst DQC-301 is suitable for single loop unit for producing homopolymer PP. The catalyst DQC-401, a general spherical catalyst, is suitable for single loop, dual-loop and loop plus gas phase unit for producing homopolymer and random and anti-impact copolymer PP. The catalyst DQC-602 is exclusively used for producing anti-impact copolymer PP. The catalyst DQC Series has been widely applied at home and abroad in dozens of units using continuous process such as Spheripol-I, Spheripol-II and ST processes for producing high quality homopolymer and anti-impact and random copolymer PP. The catalyst DQC Series has a list of technical characteristics as below.

Narrow distribution of catalyst particle size and controllable and adjustable particle size; Catalyst activity ≥5.0×104g﹒PP/g﹒cat (5L polymerizing pot, bulk polymerization for 2h at 70˚C, hydrogenation at 0.2Mpa);

Excellent hydrogen modulation balancing ability;

Excellent directional ability and adjustable polymer isotactic index;

Excellent copolymerization performance for producing high rubber content anti-impact copolymer;

Spherical polymer particle with good shape and less fine powder.
