Overview of product performance and technical characteristics

FCAS-R09 sorbent is the proprietary sorbent for S Zorb SRT developed by SINOPEC Research Institute of Petroleum Processing (RIPP) with independent intellectual property. The adsorbent adopts the proprietary preparation technology to allow high strength, few fines and concentrated particle size distribution of the product. It has high desulfurization rate, low gasoline octane loss and is suitable for processing various feedstocks with different sulfur content, and can be used to produce the ultra low sulfur clean gasoline with sulfur content below 10ppm. The integrated property has reached the level of same category product in the world.

RAX-II meta-xylene adsorbent

Overview of product performance and technical characteristics

RAX-II is a new adsorbent developed by RIPP for meta-xylene (MX) production by a simulated moving bed adsorption process operating in liquid phase. It is used to selectively absorb and separate MX from the C8 aromatic isomers, to recover high purity MX product. RAX-II adopts the special faujasite zeolite modified by the specific cations as the active constituent, and has the advantages of high absorption capacity, good selectivity of MX absorption, and great mechanical strength, etc. The commercial result shows that MX product purity is ≥99.5%, and MX yield is ≥95% per pass.

RAX series para-xylene adsorbent

Overview of product performance and technical characteristics:

RAX series para-xylene (PX) adsorbents including two brands: RAX-2000A and RAX-3000, are developed by Research Institute of Petroleum Processing. The specific faujasite zeolites with cation exchange modification are used as the active constituent.

RAX series adsorbents have high adsorption capacity, good PX adsorption selectivity and great mechanical strength. They are applicable to the simulated moving bed adsorption separation process with continuous counter-current flow of the liquid phase against the adsorbent. The commercial results show that PX product purity is ≥99.8%, and PX yield is ≥98% per pass. Compared with RAX-2000A, RAX-3000 has better absorption performance, and its absorption capacity is improved by 8%. In addition, the mass transfer property has improved, which can make the processing capacity of adsorption separation unit increase by 20% when reloaded with RAX-3000.

NWA series 5A pill adsorbent is a new type A molecular sieve, it is mainly used for MOLEX dewaxing process, in the liquid phase condition the n-alkane is adsorbed from kerosene distillate oil to produce the liquid wax product, and it can also be used for pressure swing adsorption, etc. The product adopts the special preparation technology and production process to effectively drop the diffusion resistance of n-alkane in the large pore and micro pore of adsorbent, and it has the features of large adsorbing capacity, quick adsorption and desorption rate, etc.

RIC-200 ethylbenzene conversion type xylene isomerization catalyst

Overview of product performance and technical characteristics:

RIC-200 ethylbenzene (EB) conversion type catalyst is the new generation xylene isomerization catalyst developed by Research Institute of Petroleum Processing (RIPP). It is used in the isomerization process unit of an aromatics complex to maximize para-xylene (PX) production. RIC-200 catalyst belongs to acid-metal double functions catalyst which converts ethylbenzene to additional xylene. It has the high isomerization activity, high EB conversion, low C8 aromatics loss, low hydrogen consumption, good stability and good regenerative ability etc.. It can adapt to EB content in the mixed xylene feed of fairly wide scope, and the start-up process is relatively simple compared to other catalysts. The commercial results show that, the approach-to-equilibrium for PX (PXate) is ≥95%, the approach-to-equilibrium for EB (EBate) is ≥60%, C8 ring loss (C8RL) is ≤2.3%.

NNI-I C5/C6 alkane isomerization catalyst

C5/C6 isomerization catalyst is an intermediate temperature molecular sieve catalyst independently researched and developed by SINOPEC. It is the first time industrial application of Pd carrying molecular sieve isomerization catalyst. The catalyst is mainly used for light alkane isomerization, in the hydrogen service condition, the C5/C6 n-alkane in the light naphtha is converted to related branch chain isohydrocarbon, to improve the octane value of front constituent of gasoline and increase the anti-explosion property of gasoline. The main feature of the catalyst is below.

Increased amplitude of octane value is high, and the single pass octane value can be improved by 8-10units.

The conversion rate is high, wherein the C5 conversion rate >62%, and C6 conversion rate >82%.

The selectivity is high, C6 selectivity >18%.

The liquid yield is high, liquid yield >98%.

HTS Titanium silicalite molecular sieve

HTS was developed by SINOPEC Research Institute of Petroleum Processing (RIPP). It is a titanium silicalite molecular sieve with unique hollow structure. This catalyst has good thermal stability and oxidation activity. When using H2O2 aqueous solution as oxidant, under mild conditions, HTS shows high activity and selectivity in olefin epoxidation, alcohol oxidation, alkane oxidation, phenol hydroxylation to diphenol and cyclohexanone ammoxidation to cyclohexanone oxime, etc. Compared with traditional oxidation catalysts, HTS catalyst allows for simple and environmentally friendly process as well as mild reaction condition (atmospheric pressure, 20~100℃) and higher target product yield.
