RICC Series Catalyst

Overview of product property and technical characteristics:

RICC series catalyst (RICC-1, RICC-2, RICC-3, MAC, GDmax, VSG-5N), developed by SINOPEC Research Institute of Petroleum Processing (RIPP), has strong bottom cracking ability with little coke increase, good hydrothermal stability and excellent metal tolerance.

The design of RICC series catalyst with good activity, stability, coke selectivity and excellent heavy metal-tolerance property were focusing on improving the heavy oil conversion on the catalyst and inhibiting the increase of coke make by RIPP’s new technologies on FCC catalyst. This catalyst was composed of an improved rectorite active carrier and structure optimized zeolite SOY-12. SOY-12 is a new kind of structure optimized Y zeolite with low Na content, unblocked channel, high accessibility of active sites, good coke selectivity, high thermal and hydrothermal stability, developed by RIPP recently. Meanwhile, improved rectorite active carrier could adjust catalyst pore diameter and improve bottom cracking activity and coke selectivity. For example, RICC-1 catalyst possesses strong bottom cracking ability, excellent hydrothermal stability and good resistance to metal pollution. RICC-2 catalyst can also reduce gasoline olefin content. RICC-3 catalyst is the residue cracking catalyst with high total liquid yield.
