Overview of product performance and technical characteristics

Developed by Sinopec Fushun Research Institute of Petroleum and Petrochemical, the EPRES patent technology with independent intellectual property rights is introduced in preparing the sulfided hydroprocessing catalyst. Add organic additive and sulfur compound into the oxidated hydrogenating catalyst. The metallic oxides of the hydrogenating catalyst adequately reacts with the sulfur compound at certain process conditions to generate metal oxidated sulfide. The catalyst prepared by EPRES technology can be more adequately sulfided, thus to improve the effective utilization of the active metals.

The sulfided hydroprocessing catalyst prepared by EPRES technology features excellent sulfur retention, high sulfidity, good strength, and low exothermic effect. Both the hydrodesulfurization and hydrodenitrogenation ability are superior to conventional in-situ sulfided catalyst. There is no need to carry out any special protection in the production, transportation and packaging of sulfided catalyst. It does not have any potential safety hazard. And it can shorten the startup cycle for 2-3 days, thus to improve the economic benefits for refineries.
