RS series diesel oil ultra deep desulfurization catalyst
Overview of product performance and technical characteristics:
RS series catalysts are high performance catalyst for diesel ultra deep desulfurization developed by SINOPEC Research Institute of Petroleum Processing(RIPP )which includes RS-1000, RS-1100, RS-2000 and RS-2200. The Ni-Mo-W based RS-1000 catalyst possesses very high HDS and HDN activity. The catalyst is suitable for diesel oil hydrotreating at high space velocity to produce low sulfur diesel satisfying European III standard, and also can be used to produce low sulfur diesel satisfying European IV standard under conventional hydrotreating conditions. Furthermore, RS-1000 shows good adaptability to various diesel feedstocks including high sulfur diesels and high nitrogen diesels.
RS-1100 catalyst is alumina-supported Ni-Mo catalyst with a high activity for diesel ultra deep desulfurization via new preparation technology. The catalyst is used to produce low sulfur diesel meeting national III and national IV standard. It has good adaptability to various diesel feedstocks. The pilot-plant results show that the activity of RS-1100 catalyst is higher than that of RS-1000 catalyst at ultra-deep hydrodesulfurization stage, whereas the bulk density of RS-1100 catalyst decreases by 16%. By using RS-1100 catalyst, the diesel meeting European V standard can also be produced at proper hydrogenation reaction conditions. It has been used in 3 companies, and will be applied in other 2 companies in the near future.
RS-2000 catalyst is the 2nd generation diesel ultra deep hydrodesulfurization catalyst as an improved product of RS-1000 catalyst. The catalyst adopts Ni-Mo-W as active metal components and is prepared on the basis of MAS advanced catalyst technology platform for achieving maximum active sites. RS-2000 exhibits excellent hydrodesulfurization and hydrodenitrogenation performance. In comparison with RS-1000, the ultra deep desulfurization activity of RS-2000 is remarkably improved, and the reaction temperature to obtain ultra low sulfur diesel product (ULSD, sulfur less than 10ppm) can be lowered by 15℃. The catalyst also has good activity stability, allowing a long running cycle when producing ULSD. This catalyst is suitable for diesel hydrotreating at a high space velocity to produce low sulfur diesel consistent with European IV standard, and is also applicable to produce the low sulfur diesel satisfying European V standard under conventional hydrotreating conditions. RS-2000 also displays a good adaptability to various diesel feedstocks.
RS-2200 catalyst was developed by SINOPEC Research Institute of Petroleum Processing (RIPP). It is characterized by its high hydrodesulfurization(HDS) activity, excellent activity stability, low reaction hydrogen consumption and small bulk density. Compared with RS-2000 catalyst, the RS-2200 catalyst has the same HDS activity, 25% lower hydrogen consumption, 18% lower bulk density, lower metal loading and cost under the ULSD reaction conditions. So the RS-2200 catalyst has the high cost performance ratio. This catalyst is applicable for processing straight run distillate, and can also be used for distillate from secondary processing. By using RS-2200 catalyst, the diesel meeting European V standard can be produced at proper hydrogenation reaction conditions.
