Proprietary Catalyst for CPP Process
Overview of product property and technical characteristics:
The catalytic pyrolysis process (CPP) was developed by SINOPEC Research Institute of Petroleum Processing (RIPP) for producing light olefins (mainly ethylene and propylene) with the feedstock of heavy fraction in the reaction temperature of 560-650℃. The reaction condition can be flexibly adjusted for different requirement of ethylene and propylene yields.
CPP catalysts (OEP-1, CEP-1, Epylene-1) are seeking for high ethylene and propylene selectivity. The catalysts have high matrix activity for bottom primary cracking. Mesopore zeolites have been used for further secondary cracking. The active sites for selective pyrolysis are indispensable. The hydrogen transfer reactions need to be controlled. CPP unit has higher severity on operating conditions than conventional FCCU, and thus the CPP catalysts have high hydrothermal stability and metals tolerance.
