Proprietary Catalyst for DCC Process

Overview of product property and technical characteristics:

The deep catalytic cracking process (DCC) was developed by SINOPEC Research Institute of Petroleum Processing (RIPP) for converting heavy fraction into light olefins with the use of shape selective zeolite catalyst. The special catalyst formulated for DCC process include CHP, CRP, CIP, MMC, DMMC, RMMC and HPE series catalysts, which have the features of high activity, high conversion capability of heavy oil, good selectivity of light olefins and high strength, etc., and it has been applied in dozens of units around the world.

For example, MMC series catalyst adopts multiple active components (such as ZSP zeolite containing phosphor and transition metal) to improve the hydrothermal stability and increase the dehydrogenation function of catalyst. MMC series catalyst is also formulated to improve the large molecule cracking ability and heavy metal resistance capability.

DMMC series catalyst is prepared with large pore matrix and new catalysis material, which could produce more propylene and decrease olefin content in gasoline.
