Proprietary catalyst for ARGG process: RAG series

Proprietary catalyst for ARGG process: RAG series

Overview of product property and technical characteristics

ARGG process was developed by SINOPEC Research Institute of Petroleum Processing (RIPP) for maximum production of LPG and high octane number gasoline from the feedstock of atmospheric residue or heavy fraction oil. It is especially appropriate for processing feedstock with high ratio of blended residue. RAG series catalyst is the proprietary catalyst for ARGG process, which mainly includes RAG-1, RAG-6,RAG-10,RAG-11, etc., and has the following characteristics.RAG-1 catalyst has the stable structure, good pore distribution gradient, which enables selective and comprehensive access to various molecules in heavy oil, especially large ones. The large pore of the catalyst can also tolerate heavy metal accumulation. In addition, the catalyst possesses high activity, good selectivity, especially strong bottom cracking ability and heavy metal resistance.RAG-6 catalyst has the larger pore volume, higher activity and better resistance to heavy metal (especially anti-nickel) pollution.

RAG-10 catalyst has not only the original characteristics of RAG series catalyst, but also such additional features as high ABD, high LPG (especially propylene) and high-octane gasoline yields, etc. RAG-11 catalyst is developed by RIPP aiming to process fuel oil in some provincial refineries with the characteristics of high activity, strong bottom cracking ability and good resistance to heavy metal pollution, and high yields of LPG and gasoline, etc.
