Overview of product performance and technical characteristics:

RMS-30 is the Co-Mo/Al2O3 type catalyst for residue hydrodesulfurization with butterfly appearance. It possesses the characteristics of relatively high pore volume and appropriate pore size, centralized pore distribution, appropriate acid strength and density, etc.. It has the superior activity both for hydrodesulfurization and removal of the metal (Ni, V) as well as high metal pick-up capability. Compared with 2nd generation catalyst, the desulfurization activity of RMS-30 can be improved by over 15%.

The catalyst is loaded in the rear of demetallization catalyst in residue hydrotreating (RHT) unit. Its main role is to remove the impurities in the residue oil such as sulfur, residue carbon and nitrogen, etc.
