Overview of product performance and technical characteristics：

RDM-32 catalyst is the residue oil hydrodemetallization(HDM) catalyst. It is butterfly extrudate of alumina promoted with nickel and tungsten with high pore volume and large pore size. It has good HDM activity and good metal tolerance as well as higher HDS and HDCCR activity than that of RDM-35 series catalyst. Its metal pick-up capability can also be about 80wt%. This catalyst is usually of grading utilization with other guard catalyst, HDM and HDS catalyst.

RDM-32 catalyst is suitable for residue oil hydrotreating (RHT) process to remove and tolerate the metal impurities as Ni and V in the residue oil so as to protect the catalyst of downstream.

RDM-32-3b and RDM-32-5b are Ni-Mo/Al2O3 type active supporting catalysts with the appearance of gear sphere and hollow gear sphere, respectively. Both two supporting catalysts have high pore volume and large pore size, which are loaded in the bottom of reactor for replacing the supporting ceramic ball so as to efficiently utilize reactor space and support the main catalyst. The supporting catalysts as RDM-32-3b, RDM-32-5b, etc., are in favor of saturating some heavy aromatics, improving the product quality, and are helpful to utilize the heavy and inferior feedstock.
