FCC Flue Gas SOx Transfer Additive RFS09

FCC Flue Gas SOx Transfer Additive RFS09

Overview of product property and technical characteristics

RFS09 is a high efficiency environmental additive developed by SINOPEC Research Institute of Petroleum Processing (RIPP) based on integrated multiple technology platforms, which is aimed at reducing SOX emission from FCC flue gas. RFS09 is characterized in that RFS09 features its good sulfur picking ability. In regenerator SO2 from coke sulfur compound is captured, oxidized into SO3 and transformed into stable metal sulfates.

RFS09 also features its good regeneration performance. In riser the metal sulfates adsorbed on additive is reduced into sulfides which is prone to release sulfur as H2S. At this point the activity of RFS09 is recovered.

RFS09 possesses similar physicochemical properties to those of cracking catalyst. There was not any negative effect on product yields and product quality when the additive is used in a proper concentration range.

In a full combustion regenerator 70v% of SOx in flue gas can be removed when 2-3wt% of RFS09 is in the catalyst inventory.
