Overview of product performance and technical characteristics：

RHC-3 catalyst is the flexible hydrocracking catalyst developed by SINOPEC Research Institute of Petroleum Processing (RIPP), with the characteristics of high hydrogenation activity and selective ring-opening capability. It enables flexible product proposals switched among maximum heavy naphtha, maximum intermediate distillates and maximum high quality tail oil, and low yield of dry gas, LPG, and light naphtha in the product slates. The catalyst can apparently improve the quality of tail oil as well as drop the BMCI value and increase the paraffinicity, and is especially applicable to the production of premium chemical feedstocks (low BMCI value steam cracking stock and high aromatics potential reforming stock) as well as high quality transport fuel with ultra low sulfur under the severe condition (fairly low pressure and or inferior feedstock). This catalyst has been used in sets of middle or high pressure hydrocaracking units. The commercial results show that BMCI value of the tail oil is maintained at 8-12, and the diesel oil distillate meets the requirement of national V standard. Moreover, the units can be operated to process some catalytic diesel and CGO, the catalyst can be used for three years in the cycle and regenerated for 1-2 times.
