RN series distillate oil hydrotreating catalyst

RN series distillate oil hydrotreating catalyst

Overview of product performance and technical characteristics:

RN series catalyst was developed by SINOPEC Research Institute of Petroleum Processing (RIPP). It is characterized by its high hydrodenitrogenation(HDN), hydrodesulfurization(HDS) and hydrodearomatization(HDA) activity, excellent activity stability, wide adaptation to various feedstocks as well as high mechanical strength and low pressure drop in reactor and good regeneration performance. So far a series of products have been developed, including the first generation RN-1 and RN-2, the second generation RN-10 and RN-10B, the third generation RN-32V , and a new catalyst RN-411. RN-10B is a butterfly catalyst with Ni-W as active components. The catalyst features high HDN, HDS and HDA activity, good crushing resistance strength and high bed void ratio resulting in a greatly reduced pressure drop in reactor. This catalyst is suitable for processing straight run distillate, and can also be used for distillate from secondary processing, and especially applicable to capacity expansion units in need of reducing pressure drop and the units in need of improving product quality.

RN-32V is the new generation high performance VGO hydrotreating catalyst developed on a basis of overall optimization. The catalyst possesses very high HDN and HDS activity along with good activity stability. RN-32V is applicable to feedstocks pretreatment in hydrocracking and FCC units. When used in hydrogenation units, RN-32V catalyst not only provides a good solution for processing high nitrogen or high sulfur feedstocks, but also provides a technology support for capacity expansion and profit increase of the refineries. Consequently, the application prospect of the catalyst is very broad. Recently, RIPP has successfully developed RLG technology for efficiently processing FCC Light Cycle Oil(LCO). With this technology, the gasoline with high octane number and the aromatic feedstock with high amount of benzene, toluene and p-xylene (BTX) can be produced. The technique contains two reaction zones of hydrotreating and hydrocracking, and thus needs hydrotreating and hydrocracking catalysts. RN-411 is an alumina-based Ni-Mo hydrotreating catalyst with high HDN activity and appropriate hydrogenation activity. The high-quality feedstock with more mononuclear aromatic and less nitrogen-containing hydrocarbons for hydrocraking unit can be obtained by using RN-411 catalyst.
