Recently, the new HA-R catalyst developed by SINOPEC Beijing Research Institute of Chemical Industry and produced by Sinopec Catalyst Co., Ltd. has achieved successful trial application in the STPP plant of Polyolefin Division of SINOPEC-SK Petrochemical Company.

Compared with the DQC catalysts currently applied in the plant, the application of new catalyst can increase the activity of catalyst by 2.5-3.5 times, greatly decreasing the addition of triethylaluminum and electron donor and reducing the ash content in the product. Thanks to the good hydrogen response, the use of HA-R catalyst can reduce the consumption of hydrogen. The cast film products produced by using this catalyst may be featured by high gloss, low crystallization point and low ash content, thus greatly improving the cast film grade, which can be applied in the field of aluminized cast film.
