Recently, SINOPEC Guangzhou Branch seized a favorable opportunity of the shutdown of its polyethylene plant to make an industrial experiment on two batches of a modified slurry catalyst from SCC. The trial result proves that the improved catalyst has not only achieved an overall activity increase by 20%, but also reduced the fine powder and increased the powder bulk density. Thus it can meet the requirement for high-load operation of the polyethylene plant.
