SINOPEC SHANGHAI PETROCHEMICAL CO.,LTD(SPC) has applied SCC high selectivity catalyst in EO/EG unit since the plant’s first time overhaul in last September. By using this SCC catalyst, the output of main product increases apparently while the consumption of raw material ethylene decreases.

SCC figured out the operation characteristics and running pattern of the catalyst through initiatively communicating with clients and actively collecting relevant technical data. The SCC catalyst has reached technical requirements and its selectivity has increased all the way.

From January to July this year, the EO/EG unit in SPC consumed the least amount of raw material ethylene per unit product as never before.
