Researched & developed by Beijing Research Institute of Chemical Industry Yanshan Branch and produced by SCC, a highly selective silver catalyst YS-8810 was recently put into operation in No.2 glycol unit of Shanghai Petrochemical Corporation for the first time. Having operated for more than one month, the performance index of the catalyst achieved the expected standards, presenting the characteristic of high activity and stable operation while maintaining selectivity level of the same type of catalysts abroad. The commercial application of the catalyst will provide technical support for the upgrading of domestic EO/EG production capacity.
