SCC (Sinopec Catalyst Company) recently shipped 170 tons of Sinopec Methanol To Olefin (SMTO) catalyst to Zhongyuan Petrochemical Corporation, first batch production of SMTO successfully manufactured by SCC.

The smooth production of SMTO catalyst signifies that SCC has mastered the complete set of production technology and has certain production capacity which will lay solid foundation for subsequent construction of SMTO production units and operation. The successful application of SMTO catalyst symbolizes that SCC is stepping towards development in coal chemical industry which will further pushing SMTO catalyst in bigger markets expansion in the coal chemical industry field.

SMTO technology or the Methanol To Olefin technology was developed independently by Sinopec and has gained the proprietary intellectual property rights. SCC has taken the task of the industrial amplifier and application of the SMTO catalyst technology, which is the core part of the SMTO technology.
