Having replaced catalyst in its units by a new type of deep diesel desulfurizaition catalyst FHUDS-2 of SCC, Guangzhou Petrochemical Company recently completed the full load calibration. The desulfurization degree is more than 99.82%, the sulphur content in diesel is decreased from 500ppm to not more than 50ppm and the cetane value reached the target of not less than 51. It means that the quality of the diesel is greatly improved.

The successful application of the new deep desulfurization catalyst has not only improved the diesel quality, reduced equipments erosion, enhanced operation security, but has accumulated experience for application of this type of catalyst in other units.
