A catalyst combination technology is applied in SINOPEC-Shanghai Branch. It is invented by FRIPP. It is a method to get FHUDS-2/FHUDS-5 working together for producing clean diesel fit the GB 4 diesel grade.

The two catalysts of FHUDS-2 and FHUDS-5 are produced by SCC-Fushun Division. The diesel hydro-treating unit using the two catalysts has an annual diesel production capacity of 3.3 million tons. The results are quite good. The diesel from the unit has fulfilled the requirements of the GB 4 diesel specification in China.
