The SHP catalysts from Sinopec Catalyst Company for the first and the second stage pygas hydrogenation have been applied in Tianjin Ethylene Project. The DPG facility in the 1 million ethylene project runs very well with the catalysts. The reaction temperature is low, the LHSV is high and the total performance is good. The catalyst proves to be qualified for the design and the operation of the facility.

The DPG system in Tianjin Ethylene Project has a capacity of 0.65 million tons/year. It is the first time that the catalysts have been used in the large scale ethylene project.
